Captions

Generate several on-brand caption variants for any topic or a specific content-plan post, then copy one or save it onto the post. Every generation is kept automatically in your history, so you can reload and reuse a past set anytime.

What it does

Captions takes a topic or an existing content-plan post and writes several distinct caption variants tuned to the platform you choose. It pulls tone, audience, and business details from your brand brief (plus the brand voice it has learned from your past generations), so the results sound like you rather than generic AI copy. Each variant shows a character count against that platform's recommended caption length, and you can copy any option to your clipboard or, when working from a content-plan post, save it straight back onto that post. Every successful generation is also saved automatically to your caption history for later reuse. A built-in shadowban-risk checker lets you paste copy and see whether it contains terms known to suppress reach, and a collapsible platform tone primer explains what captions are optimized for on each network.

How to use it

  1. 1

Open Captions and pick a mode

Go to the Captions tool. It opens in Manual mode (write from a topic); switch to From a post to caption a specific post in your active content plan.

  2. 2

Enter your topic or select a post

In Manual mode, type a short topic (up to 200 characters) and pick a platform (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Facebook, or LinkedIn). In From-a-post mode, choose the post from the dropdown — or, if the plan has posts still showing placeholder captions, click one of the highlighted cards in the 'needs a caption' strip to jump straight in.

  3. 3

    Generate the variants

Click Generate captions to get several on-brand options, each labelled with a character count against that platform's recommended caption length.

  4. 4

Copy or save the one you want

Use Copy to put a caption on your clipboard for pasting into your scheduler, or — in From-a-post mode — use Save to post to attach it directly to that content-plan post. (The full set is already saved to your history automatically.)

  5. 5

Check for shadowban risk before posting

Open the Shadowban risk check below the variants and paste your final caption; it flags known reach-suppressing terms with severity and a safer-phrasing suggestion. It's a heuristic guide, not a guarantee.

  6. 6

    Reuse past work from history

Open History or tap a card in the Recent generations strip to reload a past set — it repopulates the variants so you can copy them or hit Regenerate without starting over.

Tips

  • Fill out your brand brief thoroughly — tone, audience, and industry all feed the captions, so a richer brief gives more on-brand results.
  • Don't expect the same caption everywhere: an Instagram caption reads very differently from a YouTube description, so open the platform tone primer if a result surprises you.
  • Watch the character-count chip — it turns amber and shows 'over cap' when a variant runs past the platform's recommended length, so you can trim before posting.
  • Your 15-per-hour AI budget is shared across all of Zendora's AI tools, so generate a batch and reload from history rather than regenerating repeatedly.
